Call for volunteers: Winter Action 2026/2027
The 2026/2027 edition of Winter Action is organised by the Dräieck asbl – with the support and commitment of its founding organisations: the Luxembourg Red Cross, Hëllef um Terrain (HUT), and Inter-Actions. Together, they are committed to supporting the most vulnerable people during the coldest months of the year.
A part of this initiative, emergency accommodation is provided for people experiencing homelessness within the multifunctional facility in Findel. On site, educational teams and volunteers take turns each day to ensure a warm welcome and the distribution of hot meals.
When and how to mobilise?
– Day Centre: from 11:30 am to 3:30 pm for lunch and the rest room for our beneficiaries. Every day: preparing and serving meals, washing dishes and cleaning kitchen equipment, assisting the educational team with occasional activities (creative and sports activities), assisting with the clothing distributions, etc.
– Night Shelter: from 7:00 pm to 09:30 pm for dinner and from 6:30 am to 9:00 am for breakfast service. Every day: preparing and serving meals, washing dishes and cleaning kitchen equipment, distributing hygiene products, and supporting the educational team at weekends with occasional activities (creative and sports activities).
Why mobilise?
In the face of the challenges of homelessness, which affects many vulnerable people in our society, our commitment is essential. That is why we are calling on volunteers: your presence will help support our teams on the ground, particularly with meal distribution and the smooth running of the Winter Action 2026/2027.
Beyond meal distribution, you can also put your talents and passions at the service of people experiencing hardship by leading a friendly and engaging activity. Cooking, gardening, music, DIY, creative arts or sports… Whatever your area of interest, every shared moment provides an opportunity for connection, exchange and comfort. Your commitment is invaluable in building social connections, restoring confidence and promoting inclusion.
