Le jardin communautaire se met un nouveau défi. L’hiver est considéré comme moment idéal pour laisser reposer le jardin. Afin d’utiliser la saison hivernale de façon optimale, on s’est dit que c’est le moment idéal pour élaborer un nouveau projet. Toujours dans cette logique du moindre achat, du moindre gaspillage et du principe de récupération, on a opté pour un projet : Le Upcycling. C’est un projet participatif, ouvert à toute personne, qui habite ou travaille à Dudelange. Tout le monde est invité à s’impliquer. Voici une brève description du projet : Une vieille roulotte, qui nous a été offerte, sera transformée en pépinière. Cela nous permettra de cultiver nos légumes tout au long de l’année. L’intérieur de la roulotte sera donc complètement réaménagé. Devant la pépinière, on va construire une serre à partir de fenêtres récupérées. Ainsi, nos plantes, qui aiment la chaleur mais n’aiment pas trop la pluie, pourront grandir et mûrir dans des conditions optimales. Marc Treichel, de l’asbl Horyoh, qui a de longues années d’expériences dans le upcycling, nous guidera et nous montrera des nouvelles approches et techniques. Les travaux vont se tenir sous formes de workshops ; soit dans le hall Fondouq, soit au jardin communautaire sur la NeiSchmelz (accès rue de Thionville Dudelange) L’idée étant d’apprendre des nouvelles techniques et l’un de l’autre. Vu la situation actuelle, le nombre de participants doit être adapté aux recommandations gouvernementales en vigueur. The community garden faces a new challenge. Winter is the ideal time to let the garden rest. To make the most of the winter season, we felt this is a perfect time to develop a new project. Always following this logic of the least purchase, the least waste and the principle of recycling, we decided on a project: upcycling. It is a participatory project that is open to everyone who lives or works in Dudelange. Everyone is welcome to get involved. Here is a brief description of the project: An old trailer that was given to us is being converted into a urban-garden. This way we can grow our vegetables all year round. The interior of the trailer is therefore completely redesigned. In front of the trailer we will build a greenhouse out of salvaged windows. In this way, our plants, which love heat but don’t particularly like rain, can grow and mature under optimal conditions Marc Treichel from the non-profit organization Horyoh, who has many years of experience in upcycling, will guide us and show us new approaches and techniques.
